Welcome to the Coral Boats blog: stories, tips and the sea that inspires us
A blog born from the sea (and the desire to share what we love)
We have been navigating the waters of Alcudia Bay for years. We know every cove, every change of light throughout the day, every spot where the water shifts from turquoise to emerald. We know when the northern wind brings the perfect sailing day and when it’s better to stay ashore enjoying a coffee at the port. After countless conversations with travellers who stepped on board full of questions —when is the best time to visit? where do locals really eat? which coves don’t appear in guidebooks?— we realised it was time to gather all that knowledge in one accessible place. That’s how this blog was born: not as a marketing tool, but as a natural extension of what we do every day. We want anyone arriving in Mallorca looking for something authentic to find honest answers, practical advice and, above all, inspiration to experience the Mediterranean in a different way.
Who we are: the story behind Coral Boats
Coral Boats is not just another boat tour company. We are a family project, born from a deep passion for the sea and for this island we call home.
Our boat is a traditional Mallorcan llaüt —a wooden vessel that has sailed these waters for decades. It can accommodate up to 35 people on our regular tours and up to 50 on private charters. It’s not the fastest boat, but it has something modern boats can’t replicate: soul.
We sail from the Port of Alcudia, on the north coast of Mallorca. It’s a privileged area: the bay is sheltered from prevailing winds, the waters are calm and crystal-clear, and there are hidden coves only accessible by boat.
The atmosphere on board Coral Boats is relaxed but lively —what we like to call Mediterranean good vibes. Background music, conversations with the skipper and crew sharing local stories, laughter, toasts with homemade sangria and the contagious energy of people enjoying the sea. We’re not a silent cruise, and we’re not a wild party boat either. We are that perfect balance where you can relax in the sun, meet new people, dance a little if you feel like it and genuinely have a great time.

Our philosophy: enjoying the sea without rushing
Mallorca offers countless boat trips, from massive catamarans to fast boats hopping between coves.
We chose a different path. We believe the sea is best enjoyed when relaxation meets genuine fun. A good conversation with the skipper, a toast with homemade sangria while watching the horizon, music, laughter and swims in crystal-clear coves —these are the moments that stay with you.
We don’t want you to step on board and feel bored. We want you to relax, laugh, meet interesting people, taste local flavours and step off the boat thinking: “That was amazing.”
This blog reflects that philosophy. No constant sales pitches, just real stories, useful knowledge and a genuine love for this corner of the Mediterranean.
A commitment to authenticity
Everything we write here comes from direct experience. When we recommend a restaurant, we’ve eaten there. When we talk about a cove, we’ve visited it countless times. When we give navigation advice, it’s because we learned it on the water.
That means we’ll sometimes be critical. If something isn’t worth it, we’ll say so. If another option suits a certain traveller better than ours, we’ll say that too.
This blog will grow slowly, with carefully crafted articles. Quality over quantity, always.
Thank you for being here
If you’ve read this far, you probably share part of our way of seeing things. Maybe you value authentic experiences over mass tourism. Maybe you love the sea as much as we do.
Whatever your reason, thank you for your time. We hope this blog inspires you to discover Mallorca differently —and maybe one day, we’ll meet sailing together in Alcudia Bay.
Welcome on board. The journey has just begun.
